Dr. Michael Patton is a vascular surgeon with Prisma Health. He grew up in Opelika, Alabama, and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He earned his medical degree in Alabama, completed his general surgery residency in Greenville, South Carolina, and returned to Greenville after completing a vascular surgery fellowship. He has previously practiced in his hometown before returning to Prisma Health, where he works in a collaborative academic environment. Dr. Patton specializes in the diagnosis and surgical management of complex vascular conditions, including aneurysm disease (particularly thoracic and aortic aneurysms), carotid artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, and dialysis access.
